Koori Yama's Hazel-Rah At Kiana
STR How we got her: We met Hazel at our National Specialty Show, and we told the owner to keep us in mind if she were to let any of the almost all red pups go. Scott and I have always admired this unusual color pattern within our breed. How she got her name: Jacob had just finished reading Watership Down. We thought the name Hazel (the main rabbit in the book) would be fitting for her. Training and showing: I took Hazel through the AKC STAR Puppy classes. Next up is Level 1 obedience classes. I enjoy training her and she has a bright future. The hardest part about training her is that she is over the top friendly and she wants to meet everyone. Some more about her: It was a rough go when we first got her, but after what felt like forever she fit right in. Hazel is a smart and lovable girl. It is really hard to get good pictures of her due to her deep red coloring. Hazel is still currently being raised in the house and she likes to try and steal our boy's toys (there was death to a beloved stuffed animal on one occasion). Her best friends: Hazel and Blackberry are best friends, but she gets along with everyone. Her favorite thing: TOYS!
