Kiana's Heat Lightning CGC, RN, SDX

How we got him: Virgil was born in our kennel. He was from our Viktor and Valeska "V" litter.

How he got his name: We decided to honor the parents by giving all of their kids names that began with the letter V. We named him Virgil after a character that sometimes shows up in John Sanford's Prey novels, Virgil Flowers. Virgil is such an interesting character John Sanford starting writing Virgil Flowers novels. Virgil is named after the second "Virgil Flowers" novel.

Training and showing: I trained Virgil in obedience. We first did the AKC Puppy Star class, which he did great at. Then we did an advanced class and got his Canine Good Citizen title. He then earned his Rally Novice title. Virgil picked up his last RN leg at the 2009 Siberian Husky National Specialty show.

Career in harness: Virgil finished his Sled Dog in 5 straight races his first season in harness. Virgil then finished his Sled Dog Excellent title in 2011. Virgil is now working on his Sled Dog Outstanding Title. Virgil run lead with Circe on Scott's race team. He is amazing in harness.

Some more about him: Virgil is such a lovable guy. He is always trying to please me. He is such a fun puppy. I was not surprised when he turned out to be a natural lead dog.

His best friend: Virgil loves his pals Lance & Lucas.

His favorite thing: He loves to play, but he also loves to train in obedience with me.
